Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms are an agreement between TriSpark Innovate ("Klasso", "we") and the institute that creates a Klasso account ("you"). By creating an account or using Klasso you accept them.
The service
Klasso is online software that coaching institutes, tuition centres and test-preparation academies use to manage admissions, fees, attendance, timetables, tests, study material and communication with students and parents.
You may use Klasso only for running an educational institute and only in line with Indian law.
Your account
The person who signs up must be at least 18 years old and allowed to act for the institute. The details you give us must be accurate.
You decide who in your institute gets access and what each role can do. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep passwords private and turn on two-step verification for owner and admin logins.
Tell us at once at hello@klasso.online if you think someone has used your account without permission.
Free trial
New institutes get a 14-day free trial. No card is needed. At the end of the trial you can choose a paid plan; if you don't, the account is paused and later closed as described under "Ending your account".
Plans, prices and payment
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance, in Indian Rupees. GST at 18% is added to the plan price and shown on your invoice. Current prices are on our pricing section.
Each plan has limits, such as the number of active students and branches. If you go over a limit you will be asked to move to a larger plan.
Plans don't renew automatically and nothing is charged without you paying an invoice. We raise the next month's invoice in Settings → Billing about 5 days before the billing period ends. If it isn't paid by the end of the period, the account gets 7 days' grace, after which it is paused until payment is made.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next billing period after the notice ends.
Refunds and cancellations follow our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Fees you collect from students
Klasso lets you collect fees from students and parents online through your own payment gateway account (for example Razorpay). That money goes from the payer to your gateway account, not to us. You are the seller of your courses: you set the fees, issue receipts, handle refunds and meet your own tax obligations. We are not a party to those payments.
Your data
Everything your institute puts into Klasso, including student, parent and staff details, attendance, marks and fee records, belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service to you, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, your institute is the Data Fiduciary for your students' data and we act as your Data Processor. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it, including consent from a parent or guardian where a student is under 18, and for answering requests from the people it is about. Klasso gives you the tools to export or correct a student's data.
You can export your data at any time while your account is open.
Acceptable use
You must not: use Klasso to send spam or messages people have not agreed to receive; upload anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the right to share; try to get into other institutes' data or any part of the system you aren't given access to; test, scan or overload the service without our written permission; or resell Klasso without an agreement with us.
WhatsApp and SMS messages sent through Klasso must follow Meta's WhatsApp policies and TRAI's rules on commercial communication, including DLT registration where it applies.
We may pause an account that breaks these rules or puts other customers at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix the problem.
Availability and support
We work to keep Klasso available at all times, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We will try to schedule planned maintenance outside Indian teaching hours.
Support is by email and WhatsApp during our business hours, listed on the contact page.
Third-party services
Some features depend on other companies' services, such as payment gateways, WhatsApp, SMS providers and email delivery. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their outages or decisions (for example, a payment gateway declining your application).
Optional AI features send the text you ask about to an AI provider to generate a reply. Check AI-written content before you use it.
Ending your account
You can stop at any time: don't pay the next invoice, and email us if you want the account closed. Your account stays usable until the end of the period you have paid for.
We may close an account that is unpaid or paused for more than 60 days, or that seriously breaks these terms.
After an account closes you have 30 days to ask us for an export of your data. After that we delete it, except records we must keep by law, such as our invoices to you. Backups are overwritten within a further 30 days.
Liability
Klasso is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost students or lost data you could have exported.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Klasso is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes we will email the account owner at least 15 days before they apply. Continuing to use Klasso after that means you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will first try to settle any dispute by talking to you. If that fails, the courts at the city of our registered office have exclusive jurisdiction.
